The Foreign Minister of Finland Timo Soini to visit Estonia

On Friday, 2 June, Foreign Minister Sven Mikser will meet with the Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini, who will make a visit to Estonia.

At their meeting, the foreign ministers will discuss Estonian-Finnish cooperation, the upcoming Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, EU defence cooperation and Brexit. They will also discuss the Eastern Partnership and transatlantic relations.

In addition, the foreign ministers will exchange ideas during a panel discussion „Estonia and Finland – shared values and common challenges in Europe and beyond” taking place at the Tallinn University. Ministers Soini and Mikser will discuss the priorities of Estonia and Finland in the EU and making a contribution on the global level as Member States.

Foreign Minister Soini will open the SuomiSauna think tank, which is a joint project of Finland and Estonia to celebrate the centenary of both countries, at the Tallinn University of Technology Innovation and Business Centre Mektory.
